Here are just a few of the stories we've heard from those who have visited with us.....
"God is awesome! He has healed me and my unborn baby! 3-4 weeks ago I went to the hospital to have an ultrasound to check on my unborn baby. The doctor told me that the baby was small and they wanted to follow-up with another ultrsound in 2 days. By the next visit, they wanted me to deliver the baby immediately (2 months or more early) because the baby seemed to have stopped growing and the amniotic fluid levels were decreasing. The doctor said something was not right with the placenta and they were going to admit me. I asked to go home and to return another day for additional monitoring. In the meantime, I was praying and I came to the Healing Rooms 2-3 times for prayer. Over the next several weeks, I had to go to the hospital 3 times a week and each time, I prayed they would not admit me. I went for another ultrasound last Tuesday - after repeated prayer, the baby has grown (from just over 4 lbs. to just under 7 lbs.), the amniotic fluid levels are normal and I no longer have to go in for repeated monitoring. One of the nurses said, "This is a miracle." God is SO good!! He does listen to our prayers and answers us. " - Vitale, Cambridge, MA
"I received prayer for my eyes after not being able to wear contact lenses for a few weeks because of irritation. I wanted prayer because wearing glasses gives me a headache and nausea. "My first visit to the Healing Rooms was a positive experience! Shortly after leaving prayer as I was riding down Mass Ave at 9:30pm, my appetite was restored! I felt a desire for food that left me over a year ago when liver problems surfaced. I am taking medication that can be very toxic for some folks but through the grace of God together with the prayers of the Healing Rooms team, the Hepatitis C virus is undetectable in my blood. "I LOVE the Healing Rooms! Can’t get any better! What a BLESSING! I was sick for a week with the flu, got depressed and felt I was “blocked” somehow. Also, I do Muay Thai Boxing and my right shoulder was totally hurt for over a month now. I got prayer and really felt God. Physically. I feel the….no,…..I KNOW the fog has lifted and I feel freedom. I felt really loved by going there. God met me just when I needed it, and He did it better than I thought He would. My right shoulder feels fine now – praise God, it’s a lot better! "I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism about 6 years ago. For 2-3 year they tried every medication and my face would break out in hives. For the past 2 years I was very sick. I could barely get out of bed in the morning because of intense fatigue and I was exhausted during the day. To compensate from 10pm to 8 am my body would release a lot of thyroid hormone and it felt like I was on a bad caffeine high. This led to further exhaustion. I started coming to the Healing Rooms on Thursday nights and getting prayer at church on Sunday mornings in June 2008. I went to another specialist in June 2008 and they put me on the medication again. This time, I did not get hives. Today, I’m totally healed and my labs are normal! Praise God!" - Kim, Cambridge, MA
“I experienced severe discomfort and swelling in my left breast and felt something lumpy during the self breast exam at home. I went in for a mammogram and an ultrasound and the doctor explained to me that they found a small tumor. On March 16, I got a biopsy and a week later, I received the lab results indicating I had a rare form of breast tumor called “myxoma.” The doctors explained that the tumor is extremely rare that they were able to find only two-pages of medical information. Although it was not malignant, the doctor highly recommended a surgery to remove the tumor and some tissues around the tumor for further examination due to its rarity. The surgery was scheduled for May 15. During the six weeks of waiting, I decided to go to the Healing Room to receive prayer. I also received prayer from family members, friends, and small group members. Weeks went by and I didn’t experience anything that was extraordinary. However, about a week or two before the surgery was scheduled, I had this “nagging” sense that I no longer had the tumor. The pain was gone and the swelling also went away. During my pre-operation exam, I explained to the doctor that my breast felt different for some reason. The doctor said she couldn’t feel the lump anymore. However, she said it’s probably hiding somewhere. Since I didn’t have a hard evidence to prove my “feeling” I didn’t know what else to do except show up at the hospital on the day of the surgery. On the morning of the surgery, the nurse put the IV and prepared me for the surgery. Also before surgery, the radiologist and the doctor needed to perform another ultrasound and insert a thin wire into my breast to relocate the tumor. However, as the radiologist performed the ultrasound, she could not find the tumor. She tried several times without any success. She called the doctor in charge to check with her. They pulled out my previous x-rays and charts but they couldn’t find anything. They told me that all my breast tissue was healthy and normal. I told the doctor that I was a Christian and that I had people praying for me. All she could say was, “I believe in prayer!” I didn’t need a surgery so I walked out of the hospital with only a bandage where the IV was inserted.” - Jaime, Cambridge MA"Three days after a crown preparatory procedure was done, I experienced acute pain in my jaw, surrounding the prepped tooth. The pain was so acute, I could hardly open my mouth or speak. I was taking ibuprofen pills every 4 hours to stay comfortable. After three full days of pain, I came to the Healing Room. I experienced the lifting of pain surrounding the tooth and jaw. I can now smile with no pain! Thank you, Jesus!" - Shelley, Cambridge
" I received prayer for my absent period on three occasions here at the Healing Rooms. I hadn't received my period for over six months, with no medical explanation. Yesterday, I started my period! Praise God! Also, I received prayer three weeks before a trip home to my family, a trip I was very nervous about. I was led in prayer to forgive my parents, especially my mother. " I came to receive prayer for my asthma and my eczema. At the beginning of my prayer session, the Healing Rooms team asked me to take some deep breaths. My first breaths were short and shallow, but as the prayer time continued, my breathing got stronger and stronger. By the time the prayer time was over, I was able to take very long, deep breaths - something I was unable to do when I arrived. Praise God! " I received partial healing of my left ankle. During prayer, I felt warmth in my ankle and a stretching feeling in my foot. I tested my mobility by rotating my foot on my toes, and the usual loud popping noise was not there. I could not hear it, nor could I feel the usual accompanying pain. I can also lean deeper into my ankle than I could when I arrived. I have definitely gained more mobility in my ankle. Thank you, Father God, for revealing Your Glory." - Wendell, Cambridge
Billy from Cambridge suffered a stroke 13 years ago and was paralyzed on his left side as a result. He has visited the Healing Rooms a number of times. When he first came to visit, he walked with a cane, and could not use his left arm or hand. God has been healing his paralyzed left side incrementally - each time he receives prayer he has felt God's touch. Most recently, he reported to us that he was able to peel a potato for the first time in 13 years. Not long ago he reported that he had regained the strength and dexterity to clip the nails on his right hand for the first time in 13 years. Previously his left hand had been too paralyzed to hold onto the clippers. And, he no longer uses a cane.
"I came for a back problem lasting approximately a year that had not been resolved with medical treatment.
